The Sahlins fiberglass rod is an essential tool for pulling pilot lines through duct systems, as well as for inspection and cleaning of water, sewage, and ventilation pipes. Its inherent flexibility combined with a smooth outer surface allows the rod to pass easily through tight spaces, sharp bends, and long duct runs. It is designed for professional installation and maintenance work in electrical, fiber, water, and ventilation applications.
The rod features a three‑layer construction consisting of an inner copper conductor, a fiberglass‑reinforced core, and an outer HD polyethylene sheath. This design provides an optimal balance of flexibility, push strength, and durability. The smooth, weather‑resistant HD polyethylene jacket reduces friction against duct walls and ensures reliable performance in demanding environments.
Thanks to the integrated copper conductor, the entire rod can be energized and easily located using standard tracing equipment, which is particularly advantageous in buried or concealed duct systems. The rod can also be used together with a probe that is threaded onto the end fitting. For safe handling and efficient operation, the rod is wound on a ball‑bearing mounted, galvanized steel frame. Supplied complete with end fitting and standard guiding head.
