Where it all began – 1969

It all started in 1969, when Gunnar Sahlin identified a need that few others had recognized. With a strong entrepreneurial spirit, he founded Sahlins Maskin AB and began developing machinery and tools for the installation of overhead lines and underground cables. In close collaboration with pioneers such as Vattenfall and Televerket, ideas were developed, tested in real-world conditions, and rapidly refined. It was a dynamic interplay between practice and innovation – resulting in a product range that quickly set a new market standard.

From local player to global presence

Demand grew, not only in Sweden but internationally as well. What began as a local operation evolved into a global player, where Swedish solutions met needs around the world. Sahlins became a name to reckon with – synonymous with reliability, quality, and cutting-edge technical development.
