The uncoiling cage is designed for safe, controlled, and efficient transport and uncoiling of pipe coils and HDPE tubing on installation sites. It is particularly suited for trenchless installations, duct laying, and utility projects where multiple coils must be handled simultaneously with minimal setup time and high operational safety.
The cage is equipped with a laterally movable limit bar that allows precise adjustment to different pipe coil widths, ensuring secure positioning during transport and uncoiling. A quick roller change system significantly reduces changeover time by up to 60 % compared with conventional screw‑mounted rollers, while also lowering the risk of accidents associated with two‑handed tightening operations. Depending on the available loading width, pipe coils with dimensions of up to 1,800 mm can be loaded. The design also allows the transport and handling of HDPE tubing drums, extending the range of applications.

The uncoiling cage enables the simultaneous uncoiling of up to three pipe coils (pipe diameter 100 mm, coil length 100 m), increasing productivity on site and reducing downtime. For correct operation, the inner end of the pipe must be cut flush with the pipe coil to ensure smooth and controlled payout.
The uncoiling cage can be used as a freestanding unit without a trailer, providing high flexibility on site. It can also be mounted on suitable tool trailers, provided that secure attachment is ensured. Bagela cable drum trailers of the BKT 23 and BKT 27 series are equipped with the necessary mounting interfaces, allowing the uncoiling cage to be loaded and unloaded independently. In addition, the uncoiling cage can also be used with cable drum trailers from other manufacturers, subject to proper and safe fixation.
