The Swivel Drum Lifter is designed for safe and efficient handling of cable drums during installation where smooth and controlled drum rotation is required. The lifter is easily inserted into the drum’s center hole in its folded position. During lifting, the gripping arms automatically expand and lock securely inside the drum.
The integrated swivel function with ball bearings ensures low friction and smooth, continuous rotation of the cable drum during pay‑off, reducing strain on both the cable and installation personnel. The drum lifter is suitable for use with excavators or other lifting equipment on construction sites, in trenches, or at cable storage areas.
For increased control, the drum lifter can be equipped with an optional drum brake (part no. 7152‑1000), allowing the operator to brake the rotation and keep the cable in position when required. The Swivel Drum Lifter is available in three sizes with load capacities of 1.2 tonnes, 2.2 tonnes, and 4 tonnes, covering a wide range of drum sizes and cable weights.
