This capacitive voltage detector is designed for safe verification of the presence or absence of voltage in medium voltage networks from 12 to 36 kV. It is suitable for use in overhead lines, substations, and cable installations, both indoors and outdoors—even in wet conditions. The detector provides clear dual indication using acoustic signals and high-visibility LEDs, ensuring reliable operation in demanding environments.

The unit features a robust ABS housing with a cylindrical design (Ø58 mm) and a V-shaped metallic contact probe for secure contact on conductors. Voltage presence is indicated by flashing red LEDs and an intermittent audible signal, while absence of voltage is confirmed by steady green LEDs. A low-battery condition is clearly shown by an orange LED. An integrated self-test function ensures full operational reliability before use by checking all internal components.

The detector operates on a 9 V alkaline battery (2 included) and supports frequencies of 50–60 Hz. It is intended for mounting on an appropriate insulated operating stick to meet IEC safety requirements for working distances. Delivered in a protective carrying case with foam inserts for secure transport and storage.
