The Kaeser i.Comp 3 is a compact, electrically driven and oil‑free piston compressor designed for flexible use in fiber blowing and light compressed‑air applications. Thanks to its low weight and space‑saving design, the unit is easy to transport and well suited for both outdoor and indoor work environments. The absence of oil and the electrically powered drive make it particularly suitable for use in confined spaces and buildings.
The compressor delivers constant pressure up to 11 bar without the need for a traditional air receiver. This is achieved through a speed‑controlled motor that adapts output precisely to demand. The stable pressure profile ensures reliable starts and consistent performance, even when blowing fiber cables over distances of up to 150 meters. The i.Comp 3 works very well with common fiber blowing machines for microduct installations, typically 7/3.5 mm or 5/3.5 mm, and can also be used in ducts with an inner diameter of Ø 10 mm, depending on installation conditions.
Operation is handled via the i.Comp Control interface, which allows precise pressure adjustment using intuitive arrow keys. Integrated service functions provide quick access to system status and operational checks. The oil‑free compression process eliminates oil level checks and oil changes, reducing maintenance requirements. Condensate generated during operation is handled automatically through an innovative evaporation system, leaving no residual condensate to manage. For site mobility, the compressor is equipped with robust, terrain‑capable wheels and can be transported horizontally to save space.
