The RKW 5010 is a powerful and heavy‑duty cable winch designed for demanding pulling applications such as relining and cable installation in energy, utility, and infrastructure projects. As standard, the winch is supplied with 1,250 m of Ø12 mm steel wire rope, with wire length adjustable on request up to a maximum of 1,800 m. The design is optimized for long pulling distances and high loads where operational reliability and precise force control are essential.

The winch is equipped with an automatic “hold‑on” system (static pull system), which locks the wire rope when winching stops. This prevents the load from running back and ensures that the pulling force is maintained without manual securing. This function is essential for relining operations and provides a significant advantage during cable pulling, especially when used in combination with a cable feeder where smooth and controlled pulling is critical to protect the cable.

The RKW 5010 is supplied as a complete winch unit mounted on a bogie trailer with swan‑neck drawbar, suitable for mobile site use and road transport. It is powered by a diesel engine with hydraulic drive system and features two individually driven, grooved capstan heads as well as a storage drum. An advanced data logging system with touch screen allows digital recording of pulling force, adjustable pulling force limitation, speed, distance (odometer), operating hours, and position data via GPS. The system also includes WiFi and USB connectivity for data transfer and documentation.
