The Sahlins fiberglass rod is an essential tool for pulling pilot lines through ducts and conduit systems. Its inherent flexibility combined with a smooth outer surface allows the rod to navigate tight passages, sharp bends, and long duct runs with ease. It is well suited for installation, service, and maintenance work in power, fiber, water, and ventilation systems.
The rod features a three‑layer construction consisting of an inner copper conductor, a fiberglass‑reinforced core, and an outer HD polyethylene sheath. This design provides an optimal balance between flexibility, push strength, and durability. The smooth HD polyethylene jacket offers low friction against duct walls and is resistant to weather, moisture, and chemicals, making it suitable for demanding environments.
Thanks to the integrated copper conductor, the rod can be easily located using standard tracing equipment, which is particularly useful in buried or concealed duct systems. In addition to pilot line pulling, the rod is also highly effective for inspection and cleaning of water, sewage, and ventilation ducts. The Ø4.5 mm rod is always supplied with an end fitting and a standard guiding head. Additional accessories are available.
