The IMS AV6310 stripping set is a precise and efficient solution for removing primary insulation on medium-voltage (MV) power cables. Designed for conductor cross-sections from 25 to 240 mm², it is suitable for MV cable systems rated 10/11 kV and 20/22 kV. The system is built around a modular concept with interchangeable stripping inserts, ensuring accurate and repeatable stripping results across a wide range of cable sizes.
The stripping length can be adjusted from 20 to 100 mm directly on the handle via an integrated adjustment mechanism, with a clearly marked scale for easy presetting. The bayonet connection between handle and inserts allows quick and secure tool changes, improving efficiency during installation work. The preadjusted inserts ensure optimal cutting depth without the need for manual blade adjustment, reducing the risk of damaging the conductor or remaining insulation layers. The tool is equipped with a replaceable blade system for extended service life and consistent performance in field conditions.
Supplied as a complete kit including handle, a full range of stripping inserts (25–240 mm²), and a durable resin case, the IMS AV6310 is ideal for professional MV cable jointing and termination work in substations and installation sites.
