The AMX Universal is a professional stripping tool designed for safe and efficient removal of aluminium-armoured outer sheaths on low- and medium-voltage (LV/MV) cables. With an application range of 16–54 mm cable diameter, it is well suited for modern polyethylene-sheathed cables, including fully bonded constructions. Its durable design makes it ideal for on-site use in cable installation projects, substations, and trench environments.
The tool supports both longitudinal and circular cutting, providing flexibility depending on the stripping method required. Cutting depth is precisely adjustable in 0.1 mm increments, ensuring controlled operation without damaging inner cable layers. An additional claw function helps break tough insulation materials, improving efficiency when working with harder compounds. Cable diameter is easily set via the handle, while a quick-release toggle lever system ensures secure and fast fixation onto the cable.
A maximum rotation diameter of 300 mm allows efficient operation even in demanding installation scenarios.
